A poster of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) has sparked controversy for "racist" undertones Brian Allen Youth Jersey , even as the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) on Wednesday said that the two team's exchange of words were part of promoting their qualifier game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and should not be politicized.


The poster, published Monday on CFA's official Sina Weibo account, shows an image of three bare-chested soccer players with the caption that read, "Do not underestimate any opponent. The Hong Kong team has a number of foreign-born players including England-born Jaimes McKee and Ghana-born Christian Annan.


The poster formed part of a series of posters released by the CFA on its website, sharing the same slogan, "Do not underestimate any opponent Rob Havenstein Youth Jersey ," followed by comments on the characteristics of each of its opponents, including Bhutan, Qatar and the Maldives.


The posters were meant to be humorous, but have come across as strange or even offensive to people in both Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.


HKFA responded with a parody of similar design on its Facebook account Tyler Higbee Youth Jersey , with the caption, "Don't be looked down upon. Our team has dark-skinned, yellow-skinned and white-skinned players united by a common goal - to stand up for Hong Kong. You as fellow Hongkongers must stand with us."


CFA could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.


HKFA spokesperson Hoo Lai-ting told the Global Times Wednesday that the exchange of words between the two teams was meant as a promotion to raise football fans' awareness to the games.


"The CFA poster only highlights the diversity of Hong Kong's team. Our parody poster played along with the idea. This should not be wrongly interpreted," Hoo said.


The match between teams of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong is scheduled for September 3 in Shenzhen Jared Goff Youth Jersey , followed by another one in Hong Kong on November 17.
